Ergänzt werden die beiden Dokumente um mehrere Register, einen Glossar und einen tabellarischen Anhang, der vor allem die finanziellen Transaktionen und Aspekte dieser Quellen erläutert. Die beiden Rechnungsbücher oder quaderni zur Kapelle bieten auf weiten Strecken die einzigen Zeugnisse für den Neubau der Kirche von S. Giovanni Crisostomo in den Jahren um 1500. Im größeren Kontext Venedigs und der Wende zum 16. Jahrhundert gesehen, bieten sie eine außergewöhnlich vollständige Dokumentation zu einem einzelnen Bauprojekt, zu den finanziellen Vorgehensweisen der verantwortlichen fabbrica und zur Struktur des ausführenden cantiere. 
520 |a Here are published the account books for the history of the building and decoration of the Cappella Bernabò in the church of San Giovanni Crisostomo in Venice, 1499-1507. The documents are accompanied by indices, a glossary, and appendices, the latter clarifying the financial aspects of the documents. The two account books offer the sole testimony for the reconstruction of the church of San Giovanni Cristomo in the years around 1500. In the wider context of Venice and of developments at the turn of the century, these documents offer an unusually complete picture of a single architectural and sculptural project, and, in particular, of the financial operation of the ‘fabbrica’ and of the structure of the ‘cantiere’.
