Eine zweite Edition ist 1555 gedruckt worden. In dieser Ausgabe von FONTES wird der Stammbaum von 1555 (in einem Exemplar, das heute in der Staatlichen Graphischen Sammlung München aufbewahrt wird) als Faksimilie dargestellt. Auf diese Weise kann der Leser das Folio von Vico gleichsam öffnen und den Stich im Detail sehen, sowie die informativen Randbemerkungen lesen. Das Blatt wird von einer einführenden Einleitung von Margaret Daly Davis begleitet. Die Widmung des Stammbaums an Cosimo I. de’ Medici sowie ein Brief an den Leser sind unten auf dem Blatt enthalten. Beide Texte erläutern in knapper Weise die Ursprünge von Vicos Arbeit und seine Absichten der Veröffentlichung. Diese Informationen belegen, zusammen mit seinen Randbemerkungen zu den Münzdarstellungen auf dem Blatt und vielen weiteren Hinweisen in Vicos sonstigen Veröffentlichungen, die engen Bezüge zwischen seinen Werken und die erstaunliche Entwicklung seiner numismatischen Gelehrsamkeit zwischen 1548 und 1557.
520			\|a Enea Vico’s Primorum XII Caess. genealogiarum, stemmatum, consanguinitatum, affinitatumque vera delineatio, his genealogical tree of the first twelve Roman Caesars – the Suetonian emperors – , was issued in its first printing in late 1553 and following this a new printing in 1555. In this issue of FONTES is presented a facsimile of the 1555 printing found in the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung in Munich together with an introductory essay. Thus the reader is able to ‘open up’ as it were Vico’s folio, study the imperial coin engravings in detail and read his remarkable glosses to the coins. The dedication of the stemma to Cosimo de’ Medici is printed at the lower left, a letter to the reader at the lower right. Both texts clarify succinctly the origins of the stemma and Vico’s aims in publishing the work. This information, together with the glosses on stemma and the evidence of Vico’s other publications show the interrelatedness of his treatises and the evolution of his numismatic scholarship in the years between 1548 and 1557.
