The “MelLit” bibliography originated in the context of the edition of Melanchthon’s correspondence at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
It encompasses all scholarly research on Philip Melanchthon (1497–1560) published from 1991 onwards and complements existing bibliographical aids on the life, works, and impact of this humanist and reformer.
It includes monographies and anthologies, but also articles and other small forms. It is brought up to date constantly.
A compilation of secondary literature up to the year 1970 is provided by:
