Nótaí: | Binevich's article focuses on the life and work of the Yiddish writer Dov-Ber Levin (also: Boris Levin). Levin died on the front during WW II; he was the author of a much appreciated trilogy: "Likhovo" (1934), "Di shuster-gas"(1932), and "Di fareynikte shtatn slavitshes"(1932), and of a number of short stories for children. Levin worked also for cinema and was the author, with Nikolai Lebediev, of the script for the film "Red Devils". |
