Foolkiller

The Foolkiller is the name of four fictional characters, vigilantes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, consisting of Ross G. Everbest, Greg Salinger, and Kurt Gerhardt in the primary continuity Marvel Universe, and Mike Trace in the MAX imprint.

Gregory Sallinger (spelled with two Ls, unlike his comic book counterpart) made his live-action debut in the 2019 third season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Netflix television series ''Jessica Jones'', portrayed by Jeremy Bobb. Loosely adapting his role in the 1990–1991 ''Foolkiller'' miniseries, Sallinger is depicted as a serial killer/vigilante hunting those he deems "fools", including Jessica Jones, with Trish Walker (portrayed by Rachael Taylor) replacing Gerhardt's role in the storyline as Salinger's successor, as an initially well-meaning vigilante whose actions devolve into murder and villainy.
