Der Florentiner Cosimo Bartoli (1503-1572) war Humanist, Übersetzer, Kunsttheoretiker und Diplomat. Hier werden vor allem Texte aus Bartolis "Ragionamenti accademici" (Venedig 1567) behandelt. Sie sind vollständig als Volltexte wiedergegeben; hierzu kommen auch andere Texte Bartolis u.a. aus seinen Briefen an Giorgio Vasari. FONTES 64 is a study of the sources for the life and art of Michelangelo Buonarroti written by Cosimo Bartoli (1503-1572), a Florentine humanist, translator, art theorist, and diplomat. Primarily texts from Bartoli’s "Ragionamenti accademici" (Venezia 1567) are treated. The relevant texts are quoted completely in full-text form, together with other texts taken from Bartoli’s letters to Giorgio Vasari and from other printed works by Bartoli. |
