Born in Reggio Emilia, he worked for Duke Alfonso II Este and the cardinals Ippolito II and Luigi II Este, in the courts of Ferrara, Venice, Tivoli (Rome), Fontainebleau, and Bruxelles. Provided by Wikipedia
