| Notes: | In the second part of the novella the threads of the story are brought together, the action rises, the main charachter, Liove Lifshits and his friend Siome Rabin, help to arrest a bandit, and the golden candelabrum turns out to be a cheap copy. The author goes back to the beginning of the story, to his short visit to the city of his childhood and to his memories of that time, ending his novella on a sad note. |
